Shine Fights today announced that welterweights Nick Thompson and Eduardo Pamplona will meet at the promotion’s “Worlds Collide: Mayorga vs. Thomas” event, which takes place on May 15 in Fayetteville, North Carolina and features a main event between Ricardo Mayorga and Din Thomas: Shine Fights is excited to announce the official signing of a bout between former Bodog Welterweight Champion Nick “The Goat” Thompson (38-12-1) and Brazilian veteran Eduardo Pamplona (12-2). The bout will take place on the main card at “Worlds Collide: Mayorga vs. Thomas,” which will be held at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina on May 15, 2010. “Worlds Collide” will be broadcast live on Pay Per View. Known as two of the most exciting welterweights in the world, both fighters will be making their debut with Shine Fights, and each fighter is looking to secure a place in the title picture with a victory. Lightweights Chris Horodecki vs. Ed Ratcliff targeted for WEC 49 in June
Lightweights Chris Horodecki (13-2 MMA, 0-1 WEC) and Ed Ratcliff (7-2 MMA, 3-2 WEC) have agreed to fight at the tentatively planned WEC 49 event in June, MMAjunkie.com has learned from sources close to the competitors. Initial reports suggested WEC 49 could take place on June 20 at the Stampede Corral in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, though WEC officials declined to confirm the event. A source close to the show said the event is not official and that a date and venue are still being finalized. If signed, the fight will likely take place on the televised portion of WEC 49.

M-1 Disappointed with Media Coverage
