The UFC’s next pay-per-view event, “UFC 111: St-Pierre vs. Hardy” on March 27, will also air live in more than 300 movie theaters nationwide from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey as part of a new deal to bring the UFC to the big screen live and in high definition: For the first time in UFC history, UFC fans can head to their local movie theater and take in all the action in the Octagon, live and broadcast in high definition on the big screen starting with UFC 111: St- Pierre vs. Hardy on Saturday, March 27 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern / 7:00 p.m. Pacific. Dana White, UFC President, today announced the UFC has closed a deal with NCM Fathom to present a series of live UFC fights in more than 300 select movie theaters nationwide, as well as plans to have UFC fighters host screenings in various markets.

Luiz Cane vs. Cyrille Diabate set for UFC 114
The heavy handed Luiz Cane will be looking to rebound from a recent defeat suffered at the hands of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira when he faces off with UFC newcomer, Cyrille Diabate at UFC 114 . The news of the match-up was first reported by MMAFighting.com, citing Diabate’s agent as the source. UFC 114 is slated for May 29 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Cane will be entering the match-up with an overall UFC record of 3-2, while the thirty-six year old Diabate will be entering the Octagon on a five fight win streak, with the French kickboxer’s last defeat coming at the hands of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua during “PRIDE: Final Conflict Absolute” in September of 2006.
