American Top Team fighter Wilson Gouveia (12-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) has suffered a back injury that has forced him to withdraw from the preliminary card of the Aug. 29 event “UFC 102: Couture vs. Nogueira.” MMANews.com first reported Gouveia’s withdrawal, and MMAjunkie.com has since confirmed the injury with sources close to the event. Gouveia’s injury comes on the heels of the Brazilian’s original opponent, James Irvin, also withdrawing from the event due to injury
